Hieronymus Bosch’ The Ship of Fools has been a symbol of a flawed human society for centuries. The Voyage of the Ship of Fools, deliver the same social criticism of today’s excesses: overconsumption and a continuous desire for newer, bigger and better. The egg shape cheerfully refers to celebration and birth. But the ship also sheds colored plumes of smoke, like ghostly reminders of ignorance and destruction.
In this way, the contradiction of our actions comes together in a colorful and confrontational way: we celebrate life inside while mutilating the world around us.
